Post Operative Information
After your surgery, you will receive specific instructions regarding your care after leaving the hospital. A few main points to remember are:
Please refrain from taking any NSAIDS, Motrin, Advil or any medications containing aspirin as this may cause more bleeding.
You will receive a prescription for pain medicine before you leave the hospital. Please make sure you inform Dr Kim and the nurses if you are allergic to any medication. Also, please be advised that prescription pain medication may cause constipation. You may take stool softener if this arises.
Please call Dr Kim if any of the following condition arises:
- Persistent bleeding
- Moderate to high fever; 101 degrees or above
